TEACHING

Lessons

I have a deep passion for introducing students to practices that will enable them to enhance their artistic output. The approach I use is evidence-based, proven to enhance long term memory in an efficient way (which will save time).

Lessons are available online or in person.

TESTIMONIALS

“Luis was a wonderful teacher who really encouraged me to branch out as much as possible. I never had much focus as a student, I wanted to learn how to play guitar, piano, sing, etc. Basically every instrument I could get my hands one, I wanted to play and learn -- all without much prior musical experience. I believe most teachers, when faced with this, would claim I lacked discipline or focus. Luis, however, helped cultivate a love and passion for music that I maintain to this day. He helped me reign in my goals while keeping my dream/passion alive. After only working with Luis for a bit over 1 year and almost no prior experience on guitar, I ended up being the sole guitarist in my college’s jazz band. This could only have been possible with Luis’s teaching style. He takes the same curiosity and joy he has for music, and applies it to you -- working with the ways you learn best to ensure you get the most out of lessons. He is as versatile of a teacher as he is a player, and if you’ve ever heard him play you know he’s a fantastic musician! I’ve had plenty of guitar teachers since my time with Luis, but I always go back to lessons with him whenever I am able.”
